I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Monday with a total distance of 20.2 km. While the lowest day was Sunday with a total distance of 13.2 km.
I got on the bike a total of 7 times this week for a total distance of 116.5 km. Giving me an average of 16.64 km per day across the week. My total time on the bike this week was 7 hours and 22 minutes. With my riding this week that gives me 1,331.7 km year to date, leaving 3,668.3 km for my goal.
A little bit slower week here, but that is ok. I started the week needing an average of 15.2 km per day and finished the week needing 14.97 km.
I am sure the distances that I am putting on here are probably much lower than some people might do. But there are a few things contribute to that. The first is that I am using a mountain bike and not a road bike. I am sure that with a road bike I could cover more distance in less time, but I do not have one available.
The second thing is that time is a factor, not just the total time per week. But also finding when I can fit the riding into the day. Also some weeks working around weather and other commitments. Finally, I am doing this for fun and a challenge, not to push myself to the max each and every day.
